Well, that depends how touchy she is about her weight. You don't have to tell her you want her to lose weight...just find an activity that you guys can do together. Like biking every weekend, taking morning speed walks everyday...make it a fun sporty activity that you guys can enjoy together. Ask her is she's interested in taking yoga class with you, (or if you're not into it) find out what kind of activity she's interested in. If a local gym has a class on it, maybe for X-mas, you could give her a gift certificate to the gym.

If you guys eat out a lot, consider eating in instead, and make health conscious meals together.

If she is really really overweight where it is effecting her health..then I think you should definitely tell her that you are concerned her weight is effecting her health.

But I'm betting she just let herself go a little, and a little more movement and sweating, and a few less candybars will be fine.

I just had this discussion with a man who I consider a male chauvinist and he didn't seem to understand it... Maybe you will. Being a woman myself, if I were in a stable relationship and had put on weight that my man thought I should lose, I would respond more to 1. why don't we start taking walks in the evening together, or 2. How would you like to join a gym with me. See where I am going with this? It is a considerate way to get her to excerise while spending time together, by using the "we", you are not making her feel as if you are saying, "I find you unattractive" and it can't hurt either of you to stay fit with this type of exercise, Offer to help plan some low fat meals etc....

You need not to persuade her , you have to join with her as a team regularly for the gym / morning brisk walk / jogging / light exercises / light breakfast / and follow rest of the two meals as per suggested by the dietitian . Do not advise her , just join her .

if she hasn't got a health risk then i think you should love her the way she is, nothing hurts more than somoene telling you , you are overweigth and u need to loose weight, it makes you loose your self esteem. if she has a health risk then you sit down with her and make her feel at ease and drop it into a conversation just like say that you are thinking of going to the gym and would she like to tag along, or go out for walks with her somewhere so you can spend some time together. good luck. x

Well you can start by taking her out on active "dates". Tell her you want to watch the sunset with her...make sure there is some walking or hiking involved in that. If you love her then you love everything about her ....right???

Tell her and show her yo will help her loose weight. Tell her to consider you her personal trainer, and you can start with sexercise. However, Saturday mornings getting her running, jogging, swimming, doing sit ups, and push-up. Whenever is good for you and her, get the personal training day set. Hey, this gym membership comes with free sex.

don't .........do you want her to suggest how you should change. accept her for how she is. True you can be just as misreable with a fine one as a fat one so, get the fine. But, do you bring a weightscale on your dates?
She already knows how much she weighs but, do you know how much you care for her?
