I have been doing meth for 2 years now. I blame my problem on my mom whom I watched doing it till she went to prison. My dad is dead so I never had a role model growing up. I have stolen all my wifes jewelry just about and cashed in all my kids college bonds. I have flirted with life insurance my habit is so bad. I owe every black dope dealer money and now I am facing jail time for my charge 1 year ago. The doctors wont see me anymore cause of my abuse on drug perscription pills so I am faced having to get my oldest son to retrieve my medication. How do I turn life around?

Wow that is really gutsy of you to post.....and i admire you for doing it...now comes the hard part hey? Well from what i can see is you are blaming your problem elsewhere for a start to your mom(still feels weird writing mom lol im aussie) and that is past. Your mum made some crappy decisions and yeah it sucks! But hey you have a future you have by the sounds of it a family who has stuck by you through the hard times and still are. My god you must be so greatfull for that. And maybe its a time where you need to start showing just how greatfull you are? Its a start to be involved in their lives and what they do and i mean really be involved because you are not your mom , you are you an individual that makes choices and what better place to start than your own family who has got to be number one. YOUR family unit not your moms or anyone elses and you can make this work.Do things slowly and build yourself up for the worth while person you can be because you are worthwhile because you had the guts to say hey i need help. The drug side of things with the meth im not real sure on and i presume you are doing other drugs? Thats what im going on and what you need to get up and do every morning is say i am worth while and im going to get through this for me and my family and go to a counsellor and get help with rehab programmes that surely must be available? I really hope that i have been some help it is just so fantastic to see someone have the want to better themselves for their future...keep looking forward mate not back and you are going to make it. A big heartful best of luck to you

How many drug users does it take to change a light bulb?

One. But they really want to have to change it.

That's all. Stop blaming Mom and Dad, stop blaming everyone else, stop worrying about the courts. Stop. Stop. Stop. Grow up. Stop. Move yourself away from whatever environment you're in: bye to your pushers and addict friends. Leave. And remember, you're very strong, passionate, and dedicated. Unfortunately, you have used that strength to dedicate yourself to meth. You're not a victim or a passive slave, you've made choices of your own volition. Now get over yourself and get on with it. Your choice. Death, prison, loss, or life? Good luck. Redemption exists for those who choose it (and it ain't got nothing to do with Jesus).

that's strange about your Doctor in some ways but you will need to go to a detox where at these places they use medication that they watch you swallow and do tests on you about 4 times a day this is to insure that you blood levels, temperature and things like that are still wit hen reasonable levels so your body starts functioning properly again. this can take up to three weeks that you will be in a not to bad of environment but about the 1st 4 days or so you ain't going to feel so good during that time, but it's worth it.

Something elese to remember is to stay away from all the bad influences. You can do all the rehab in the world and all it will take is 5 minutes around the wrong people to cancel it out. I would hate to see all that hard work crushed. Good luck to you.

I too was a drug addict for 12 years. I went to a rehab. I was a heroin addict and got put on methadone. Although that is not going to help you. You just have to want it bad enough. Try going to NA meetings.Try not using one minute at a time. I know it is hard and seems impossible but believe me it isn't.Good luck!!!!

how to stop it?????? simple, if you really have the determination to stop it you can stop it... i know it is very very very very very hard to stop a habit but if you have faith in yourself and believe that you really can stop it you will be able to stop it soon,, just have patience,, endure the cravings and keep yourself busy for good to avoid using drugs.

a great responsibility helps you to stop your vices,, you are a married person and you al;so got kids.. be the role model, don't blame anyone of what you are now because you liked it and did it in the first place,, you blame your mom for using drugs so you started to use also,, didn't you realize that your kids might blame you also if they get addicted of drugs??? well, do what you have to do, your responsibility to STOP it, be the role model of your kids and guide them well so that they Will not follow your mistakes..
i know it is hard and it takes time but you have to do it for the sake of your family especially your kids' future... COME ON,, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!
