hello, I will try to help a little if I can. A lump in the breast doesn't means that it will be always something malignant. There are a few advices I can give for your mom: she should go to the nearest clinic or hospital and take a full medical examination. Normal procedures in these case involves a interview (when, how, where did she find the lump, etc.), a physical examination and other tests if needed. I would go for a mamography, which is like taking a picture of the breast to figured out what it is. Sometimes it is also adviced to make a biopsy of the lump using local anesthesia.
If it where malignant it is good that it was detected early, so there are alternatives in treatment from medical (with chemotherapy and or radiotherapy) to surgical. Surgical treatment can imply from local extraction of the mass to more radical, depending on the circumstances. Do not feel afraid that she would die because of a lump, first of all she have to take a medical check up and then valuate her options. Anyway, now a days the treatment of malignant diseases has improve a lot regarding to quality of life, management of pain, and medical and surgical treatment.
Have faith, and give strenght and love to your mom, that she would appreciate it and regain selfconfidence. God Bless u 2.

She should go to the doctor immediately. The thing about cancer is that there is cure for it IF and only IF it is found at an early stage. That is the reason why everyone should consult their doctor as soon as they find something "different" in their bodies. Anything like a lump, a mole that changes, a rash in your skin , etc.

get your mum to go to the the docs s.a.p. and get it checked out if its painfull it could be a sist or a blocked pore under the skin witch are very minor things . if its more and needs a op the sooner its seen too the better , doctors can remove lumps very quickly and very well these days and if it does turn out to be something nasty they act very quick and zap the nastyness away , the longer you leave these things the worse it is , good luck , dont worry and get your mum to see a doc as soon as possible to rule out things that may cause you extra worry at this time .

get it checked. if it could be nothing. It could be noncancer tumor you can just remove it and live happy. It could be cancer you should be diagnosed asap so it wont migrate to other tissue. Stage 1 or 2 can be removed with high success rate. if its too late you can do chemotherapy. early diagnosis is very important

Ring up and get her a free mammogram. , they will take it from there. Dont wait till you get the BEST answer, just do it. , and try not to worry, lots of these cases turn out to be just 'hormonal changes' , thats what mine was. Good luck and dont wait around.

she needs to be checked for breast cancer, this isn't a joke, she needs to stop messing around and get checked out. It's foolish to wait even a day later

Most likely, it's an easily managable thing, not very harmful like cancer: but, nevertheless, you have to consult a doctor without any more delay. Please do so.
