Because all the invading troops are dead or too busy trying not to die in Iraq.

If the US attacked NK:
1. NK would default to its most eagerly awaited plan to attack its southern nieghbor. Using various types of munitions against SK...and would possibly cause the deaths of a hundred thousand or more.
2. NK would plea for help from its big brother China for aid, and no doubt China would help in the background like they did before, which would escalate the tension already in place between the US, and China.
3. Massive NK troop deployments to the DMZ region, along with artillery, canons, and armored. They would no doubt be ready to roll on a word right into SK. And when the word came, it would turn out to be a critical point, could we intercept the attack, or would it go on into SK, and blend so tightly- that we have no shot? probly would. Now whats left of the civilians are in jepordy of being confused with the enemy.
4. The UN would be rattling its sabers about now for the conflict to cease, but NK would persist and fighting for their lives they would use3 whatever they could against the easiest targets that they could find- and annililate them.
So,,, for the thousandth time, they would attack SK, and this is the ONLY reason I can think of as to why we havent gone in already. Stakes for now are too high. That much death and destruction could not be stopped by anybody!!!!

He's not afraid of N Korea, He has to be careful with them. Because if he invades without China's consent, who do you think we'd be fighting, because it wouldn't be N Korea for too long. We would have a major war with china. No one gave a **** about Saddam. China cares about N Korea, so it makes just a little bit of a difference.

I'm not sure he is scared, but if he is I'd say it's because Ill would actually use the wmd, unlike Saddam who was probably wouldn't. Not against the U.S. anyway. In other words Saddam is a mean killer of his own ppl, but Ill is a crazy psycho.

America got is a**e kicked in Vietnam, so I guess they're scared of the same thing happening in the Peoples' Republic of North Korea.

They are more of a threat to japan than US. We would also have hurt relations with China...as they supply Kim with most of his arms.
