This is a great mystery to me, especially since he could have delayed the development of North Korea's nuclear weapons by continuing the agreements Clinton had with Kim Jong Il.

You wanna know why? Simple logic...
In Iraq, Bush can use his bullying tactics all he wants because he gained from it....he gained OIL!! That's the principle reason for the invasion of Iraq anyway...
In Iraq, Bush can use the similar tactic, but to what gain? North Korea is a famine-plagued country with a lot of starving people. Its economy is hopeless...What profit will Bush gain from them if he invades?
oil is the key...oil is money....

bcs north korea really have the nuclear weapons unlike iraq, bcs it was a surely win war he invaded iraq for oil....
Wht will n.korea bring him? no resources, not proftable....moreover, n.korea has the capability to fight face to face wth us, USA....it would be a real war, a slap to our face...sure we will win but we will lose alot...
Tht is why Bush is quiet...i m suprised tht almost all the answerer think tht bush did something to prevent or warned n.korea from developing nuclear weapons...its all a drama...he is only talking not showing some action...trust me mate, we will never show some action or develop precaution strategy towards n.korea....they have the capability to face us...they r communist, they all r ready to die just to win...we are not all ready to die, if this situation comes, we will be the first one to shout.....PEACE....PEACE IS A GOOD SOLUTION...WE SHLD HAVE PEACE.....bbbblllhhhhhhhaaahahhhhhh, its all a joke...
We only dare to match countries who are not our class...we dominate the weak ones...i respect our government and military when we were in WW2, we saved Europe, tht was a war for peace....nowdays, we just misuse our power and capability....

Bush is afraid of North Korea and he can only warn Kim Jong-Il for their nuclear arms unlike Saddam whom he disregarded and invaded Iraq.

Because N Korea doesn't have oil like Iraq. And N. Korea didn't piss off his daddy like Iraq did. Sure he has talked about it but that is all he has done.

I think he wants to, but cant because the insane Kim Ill would no doubt kill half of SK within miutes...that would NOT be stoppable.
He has threatened it, and I believe he would.
