English and Afrikaans are the official languages.
Many african languages are also spoken, but the main ones are: Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Swati, Tsonga, Venda, Fanagalo, Khoe, Lobedu, Nama, Northern Ndabele, Phuthi, San, Xhosa, Sesotho and Zulu.
Many of these languages have dialects, depending on the regions where they are spoken.
