I want to know if anyone out there knows about quality electroplated gold and the pros and cons of having either galvanized or electroplated jewelry. Will it actually "never fade" like they say?

Any surface exposed to things that can scratch or wear on the electroplating will eventually wear off the electroplating. I don't know of anyone who would wear a galvanized jewelry, since galvanizing, by definition is depositing a zinc coating on the outside surface of the item.

I once worked at a factory which made silver and gold jewelry, and know for sure that gold plating wears away. Be aware, moreover, that the term "galvanized" means "zinc plated".
