what do i do now?? should i inspect the stew when it's done?? should i serve this stew to guests without telling them??? or should i just eat the screw???

for protection or safety of ur guests, tell them that the screw of the wooden spoon was left in your soup while cooking. aware them so that u won't be blamed if somebody unknowingly swallowed the screw.. or use a magnet..

This is big problem as you don't want to be bad host and have someone break a tooth. I would try taking a ladle and put stew into colander. The screw is likely to work it's way to bottom of the pot. I would inspect every drop until I locate the screw. If you can't find it then you should consider not serving to guests. However, if they are super good friends and would be understanding you could just tell them what happened and let them choose if they want to take a chance or not. Of Course you should start making something to serve in place of the stew with the screw in it. Look on bright side at least you know about it and you are not finding out at the dinner table as a guest breaks a tooth!

Don't wait till it's done to inspect the stew!
Search all of it till you find the metal screw.
After you find it and remove the screw. You
can finish cooking the stew. A simple screw
won't ruin a stew. Never serve a stew with
metal parts in it cause someone might sue you
if they get hurt from it or someone could choke
to death! Don't eat the screw!

Dredge the stew with a big spoon until you find the screw. It's best if someone doesn't bite into it as it could do some damage, not to mention it would embarrass you.

if u r almost finished cooking and the screws fell in, then go ahead, nothing wud happen. spoons are alloyed that way to withstand heat and trust me stew wont get spoilt. so dont u worry forget and carry on and have some urself aswell. make sure rwemove the metal part before serving. this is important.

if u r apprehensive and bit dilemmatic, then dont serve it, just dont. its all in ur mind, follow ur heart.

With a screw on the loose, teeth are in danger. (Unless this is a gag and you have the loose screw),you should be able to hear it hitting the bottom of the kettle and be able to locate it, to scoop it out.
