How long can you keep broth that you have cooked chicken or beef in? Please do not tell if you do not know the answer unless of course, you want to kill me.

Freeze it, it will keep almost indefinetly if your freezer is really cold. Try making ice cubes out of it, store them in a container or plastic bag, they come in very handy when you just need a little stock to flavor something.

If you are not going to use it or freeze it with in three days don't keep it. You can freeze it for a couple months just fine. I would never let it sit at room temperature for more then two hours either.

In the fridge a couple of days, freezer almost indefinitely, out of the fridge if kept hot, for days, out of the fridge if kept at ambient not very long at all it is a perfect bacteria growing medium.
