A doctor who specializes in muscle, bones and organs and their relationship is an Osteopath (Doctor of Osteopathy) This is a DO as opposed to MD. Also called an Osteopathist. An Orthopedist (informally known as an Orthopod) deals with disorders of the skeletal system, ligaments, tendons and joints. They both deal with bones but take different approaches and have a different scope of practice.
