I have a female Chug (Chihuahua x Pug) with my male Chi-Chi (Chinese Crested x Chihuahua) who I want to breed! The girl is 1 year old and in heat NOW and the boy is 8 months old.
What is your comments on breeding my babies?
Should I breed them? If not - WHY NOT?!?!?!?!
If I do, HOW MUCH do I sell the puppies for? I need the money to repair my car (needs a new engine, cost $4,500)?

My Chug is named Luci-Mae and and Chi-Chi is named Jacob. I plan on selling the pups for a MINIMUM of $450 - I need all the money I can get!!

Would I be able to create a NEW breed of dog? What breed would my Chug x Chi-Chi be?

I need advice on how to breed. I have never bred anything but my (now dead) cats - Rose and Larry (started breeding 8 months each - both died at 5 years. Had many successful litters from Rose) so am NOT used to breeding dogs.

Thanks to everyone who comments - !!!

From Elaine C.

Are you for truly? Street puppies have a larger mortality price than puppies born to breeders. Disease, a deficient moms, larger hazard of being killed through an additional grownup puppy, loss of meals and so on. Immature bitches hardly ever make well moms. Healthier? Right, yeah mange, fleas and different parasites relatively make for fitter animals. No they continue to exist on rubbish and some thing they may be able to seize and scavenge. are not able to even evaluate them to WILD canine due to the fact such a lot wild animals do not breed till they're one million or older. Before that they're nonetheless most likely with their start percent, that's all comparable contributors. Oh and so far as Rabies is going - Look to china and the center east with reference to feral puppies. The final time the ones 2 locations had been within the information it was once considering they had been going out to skinny down the feral puppy populace now not just for the average risk the proposed to PEOPLE and different animals, but in addition considering of Rabies circumstances. Being wild does now not defend ANY animal from catching rabies.

You DO NOT need to breed these two mutts!!!!!! its not gonna be a new breed, you arent gonna make money and you'll be lucky to give these pups away!!!!!! you are a rescue and shelters worst nightmare!!!!!!!! why do you think your cats died so young?both were too young to start breeding, and many litters over 5 years would kill any animal......forget breeding and have these pets fixed!!!!! get a couple jobs if you have to but animals are for companionship NOT a bank !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is one question I'd love to see Git Em Gang answer!!!!!!!

your girl is too young to breed from you should wait until shes at least 2years old and do not mix the breed, the pups will not sell and will end up being abandoned, breeding takes times to get it right, so if you want to be a good breeder give yourself a year to read up on it thoroughly that way your girl will be older, but do remember to keep your dogs apart during heat season or get one of them fixed
hope all works out well in the end

My advise would be no, I would have them both fixed....not only would the pups be ugly, you are populating an already over populated enviroment with pups that you may or may not be able to sell. Hey, I love dogs. I have one of my own but if I were you I'd probably think about getting a job before I would think about breeding dogs. What if you can't get rid of them? The human society? They could be put to sleep....or you keep them and can't afford to feed them and they half starve when the ASPCA comes and fines you.......STOP AND THINK ABOUT THE OUT COME.Your idea is a quick fix to a long term problem..just 1 opinon

I hope this is a joke.
It is sick and you are the reason that the words back yard breeder were invented.
This is one reason people get upset by people breeding mixed breed dogs and doing it for the money.
No one in their right mind would pay $450 for a mutt and that is what both of your dogs are and are going to produce more of.
Something you could get at any humane society in the country.

Those pups would be worth about 75 cents. Mixed breed, mutts, mongrels. No one would buy your pups. Have your dogs fixed! Why do you think your cat Rose died at only 5 yr old??!! She was bred over and opver again without thought to her health. Many litters over 5 yr. Oh wow you should be proud!

They will not sell at all, people want full breeds if they are gonna pay that much, they'd expect that free. And many breeders cannot sell dogs anyways, then they go off to the shelter. Nobody buys dogs anymore really, they just dont, they'd rather have it for free from a shelter, unless its show quality.

You are not a responsiable pet owner. Your dogs are not of breeding quality... that's not to say that they aren't darling animals worthy of life... they most certainly are. However, creating more animals for your own monetary gain is selfish and cruel. Do the responsiable thing and have your pets spayed and neutered... Bob Barker knows what he is talking about. Too many animals end up abandoned and in shelters where they are murdered simply because there are too many of them. How about you breed yourself with someone and sell your babies... does that sound abhorent to you? Don't you think it would seem abhorent to your pets as well?

Your Puppy is too young to breed, and so is the male. You should wait until she's at least 2 years old. Same for the male.
