Like say they like something the girl's wearing. If they're just platonic friends. And the guy isn't into fashion or anything like that. Or if a guy complements you, could it be a hint that he might like you?

Quit being a homophobe. There is nothing wrong with a harmless compliment. Alot of the times it might even make that persons day a little better.

Some guys don't always know how to pay a compliment. If you want to find out if he's gay, go to the mall and just goof off. Try on clothes, eat junk food. If he knows too much about fashion, or suggests what to order at the food court, listen to him. Gay or straight, he probably has a point.

Howerver, Most Men will compliment on a Womans Clothing, The color, The style.
I compliment women on manny occassions on Fashion....But, only in a social or academic setting and almost never at work.

If a straight guy is complementing you about your clothes he's into you.. Most straight guys really don't care about what looks good on girls just what looks good on girls they like..

but i gotta be honest guys usually only give a compliment if they think a girl is 'fit' or if they are really good 'friends'.........and to be honest a hetro guy is only EVER friends with girls he does NOT find attractive in the slightest.....UNLESS you been friends since you were very very young....even then as you get older things change..........

personally....i got a couple of girls who are friends...known em for years...not attracted..at all..i WOULD compliment them on how they looked....i also got a couple of girls i know who i think of as friends.. but recently..one of them had a really nice , tight fitting dress on and i complimented her on it because i suddenly found myself thinking she had a really good body and i fancied her!!!!!

however... i also have some homo friends (male and female) and they all have same opinion as me ..ie what i said to start off with. and thats hetro guys compliment girls they fancy...homo guys compliment girls just like a girl would compliment a girl.....

i notice girls that have good fashion whether i like them or not, but if i like a girl i might complement her on all sorts of things!
