1 whole year difference. It is not really about the difference in age, rather it is her perception of the relationship that has changed. Her friends might not think it is cool to date a younger guy or a guy in the class behind them (Juniors dating Sophmores thing). It is unlikely that you can win her back. Move on.

At 15 and 16 that age difference makes a difference, especially since she's older. her friends probably made fun of her. You can only tell her the age isn't important and won't be further down the road so why make a big deal now? If she likes you I would think she would get over it

Are you sure that age is her reason? That could be her excuse and seeing that the difference is only a year, I'm sorry to say that it doesn't seem all that plausible. Talk to her, find out the whole story and whatever the outcome, respect her decision...life is too short to chase after what might have been. Good luck!

In all honesty, I think you are too young to date. Is it possible that you just be alone and enjoy life for a while? It's just not worth all the fuss and keeping your grades up. Life is much more awesome with a clear mind. Get good grades and become a somebody. You won't even remember her name, when you study to get a great job and become accomplished!

It isnt worth it bud. You are young and the best thing is to move on. You have 3 years of highschool and college to worry about girls. Just hang with your friends and enjoy life bud.

If age was the reason why she broke up , then she didn't love you at all. Find a girl who is worth your feelings :-)

Good luck and keep your head up :-)

tell her "why did you want to start this in the first place? if you knew that age would be a problem for you in the beginning why have started it at all? you either like some one or you don't, age should never matter."

you're still young, and my first advise is for you not to take it so seriously. while it sounds romantic thinking of spending the rest of your life with your current (or "ex" for this matter), some things are not meant to be. my second advise is for you to become a man first. being a man doesn't mean the physical or sexual prowess that it present. it means being emotionally, intellectually and spiritually ready to take part into serious relationship.

Nothing. Anything you say will just push her away farther. Get on with finding another woman.

P.S: Are you sure she didn't break up with you because of your pathetic spelling?

That's the best excuse she could come up with? One year doesn't constitute a breakup.
