There are plenty of places selling them, Supermarkets, Chemists etc, but they are very poor quality, and soon break. I dont want to pay hundreds of pounds when I only need them for reading.

When I said "strong", I meant "durable", not "powerful".

I am a staff nurse who uses reading glasses for drugcharts and the like - and I am putting them on /taking them off all shift, dropping them frequently, losing them often...(!!!). Like you I find a lot of 'readers' quickly get damaged or fall apart. The best I have found are from Primark - the fashion store - just £1.99 inc the case - and at that price you can get all sorts of colours /styles - I buy 2/3 pairs a go. The reason they are so excellent is that they look stylish and expensive - but are actually all plastic - with no nuts and bolts to come undone, and flexible arms that are unbreakable. Being very light they are also comfortable. The case is a slim design too - easy to slip into a breast pocket on my uniform. So get on down to the nearest Primark store - they've hundreds to choose from and it won't break the bank.
Having said that, the reading glasses that can be dismantled have a certain merit. They are often cheap - therefore you can buy one pair to exactly suit your right eye, one pair to suit your left - and swap one lense to get a 'custom built pair - which I have also done, for longer periods of study. (Like you, I simply won't pay upwards of £200 for what is, in reality, just a bit of wire and plastic).

Thanks for asking Dave, as I buy a good pair of specs and then without fail, I crush them reading in bed and falling asleep. I have tried the cheap efforts out of Boots and Woolies, and they are O.K. just for reading. I hate wearing specs, I am shortsighted and somebody once told me it was very attractive!!! Nuts or what. Good luck, I will check your answers.

once you're up to this point on your tetnas images, you'd be okay. save the wound sparkling, in case you imagine there is glass on your foot or if the numbness doesn't flow away for some days, then see a well-being care specialist.

if you need "strong" reading glasses then i suggest you go to an optician
a good pair of glasses shouldn't cost the earth, and you should try looking after them
