Insecurity may play a big part in your "bitterness." Perhaps this is your defense against being hurt...
Jealousy = insecurity. Bitterness = helplessness. Just dumping him will not resolve these inner issues... My advice is to confide your emotions with your boyfriend. Tell him how you feel.
You are fortunate to have a man who accepts you as his woman... Perhaps he is unaware of your innermost feelings. Perhaps he would be more reassuring if he knew what was truly going on in your mind and heart.
If he leaves you because you told him how you felt, be grateful for HIS honesty. Lots of women go through unhappy relationships just to BE in a relationship. Please don't let that be YOU.
Thanks for writing, my friend, & Good Luck to you!

it would seem you need to identify where the jealousy and insecurity come from,,will ending your relationship rid you of the problem or will it just mean the jealousy has won?maybe sticking with this boyfriend,,even while you feel this way while trying to see if there actually is anything to be jealous of will help you to learn how to control and spot the things that trigger your anger.leaving yourself without a boyfriend just because of an irrational,(if it is unfounded) fear wont help you,,sometimes riding the thoughts out so you yourself can see it isnt something that will always win, that after a while the fear goes away on its own as you feel more secure in your relationship.work out if he is helping you or making it worse.

You need to find out why you have these feeling and work on that ,,, if you dump him you'll likely have the same trouble with the next BF,
try to understand why you feel that way and adapt,,,, if you can't you may need to see a specialist,,
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water,,,
good luck

Why do you feel overwhelmed and jealous?? Has he done something to make you this way?? If so, I suggest you dump him and talk to a counselor.

Constantly feeling jealousy and bitterness shows you have your own issues to deal with that have nothing to do with him. If you feel his love for you, open up to him - he'll lift you up.

Why are you wasting your time being bitter. Your probably making his life hell too. So keep on acting this way and you won't have to worry because he will leave you. Problem solved.

if there's no reason for you to feel that way, then I think you shouldn't dump him, you should figure out a way to trust him more. if he has given you a reason to be jealous, then he is wrong and either you lay down the law for him, or you two shouldn't be together.
jealousy never made way to a good life.

the keywords in your question are "overwhelmed" and " all the time." that is obsessing. you might need some counseling to get to the bottom of that behavior. best of luck to you.
