benedryl or a generic brand of benedryl. if it's a small dog, 25 mg, med to large dog, 50 mg. your dog will prob be drowsy and sleep a bit more, but will stop scratching. you can also give one tablet of chlorphaniramine...it's super cheap. best of luck with this.

Dogs DO get yeast infections in their ears, so don't be confused by anatomical differences :-)
If he has green discharge in his eyes, he's got an infection of some type in the sinuses/ears. Please don't go pouring stuff in his ears without knowing what's wrong. Some oils can clog the ear, effectively sealing up the infection inside, which can kill a dog. Their ear canals are different from ours.
I'd go with the Benadryl remedy to relieve the dog's misery. If you have the capsules, break them up and put them in something yummy so the dog will take them without a problem. Liquid Benadryl is harder to give a dog.
I don't understand why you can't call your parents and tell them you need to take the dog to a vet, tho. Why is it necessary to wait an entire week for their return before you can tell them the dog has a big problem????

His eyes are probably watering because he is in pain. He is itching it because it is infected. Try to keep him from scratching his ear as much as possible.
If you can't get him to the vet until your parents get home, at least CALL the vet and see what they say. Some vets will make house calls (our vet will because our one kitty had a traumatic experience at the vets office and freaks out if she has to go back) or see if someone else can take you and the dog there.

Sounds like an infection to me. Take him to the vet and tell the vet your parents will pay him when they get home. If you don't take him, you might loose him due to the infection. It sounds like a hemangeoma(sp) but it is serious.

Listen ... you don't want to wait too long...I made that mistake w/my malamute 2 yrs ago and she had to have surgery. her ear was twice the size it should have been, due to her constant scratching... something is irritating the ear and the dog has no other recoarse but to scratch -- which causes hemotomas...so please do your dog a favor and take it to the vet ASAP...the alternative w/tear at your heart
