Well Im not going to lie and say it will be easy. Since both of you have very different backgrounds, there will be times when you both want your way and it will be hard to agree. When there are two different cultures in a relationship, there will be problems deciding what to do for certain holidays and all that but if you really like each other the hard parts will be nothing compared to all the wonderfull times you guys will have sharing each others launguages, foods and music. But then comes the part with the family. Now Im guessing, since all-white schools are rear in LA that you go to a private school, which means your parents may not be ok with you mingling with people of diffenent races. Now I say this with my expirience of people who go to private schools- this is not always the case but sometimes they tend to be a little closed-minded. You will have to just make it clear that this is who you like and that they should respect it.. Overall, though it may be a little dificult at times, I think it will be a great expirience for you! I love dating outside my race and within my race cuz I always learn something new. GOOD LUCK and give it your all!

I am a white woman, and I love Mexican men. You need to treat women of all races with respect. I think any woman raised in the U.S. is going to be more independant, so make sure you understand and give her the freedom that she needs. Especially in college, because she is most likely going to have a career. Remember to hold on to her loosely and give her a reasonable amount of freedom. She will stay true to you if you love each other.

You live in california so why not!!! Despite stereotypes there are some very intelligent, warm and kind hearted mexican men out there. I am actually married to one! They are also very hard workers, so take a chance. It is all about attraction and connection. If you feel something for him, I say go for and take a chance on love!

Race should NEVER be an issue. Compatibility and commitment should ALWAYS be your primary consideration.
To answer your question; YES - there IS something that can make or break a White-Mexican relationship, and that is YOU. Your quest for such a man leaves you blinded to finding your soul mate. Ask yourself if your interest in Mexican men is because of PHYSICAL ATTRACTION or EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENT.
Either criteria will not guarantee lifelong commitment or happiness.
Have fun dating, if you will, but select a PARTNER based on compatibility, emotional intensity, & love; not ethnicity. And in the end, WHO KNOWS who'll hold the key to your heart?
Thanks for writing, my friend. Good luck to you!

People come together because they like each other, not because they practice some complex art of seduction. So I don't find a problem in a white-mexican relationship as long as both are in love, feel comfortable with each other and trust each other.
