eh i woudlnt suggest it, it doesn't sound healthy nor appealing unless you were dying of dehydration.

hmm. we have being though this in science class. Well all the stuff goes through your kidneys and the kidneys sucks up all of the nutrients or the things you need and the rest comes out as urine or poo. It may be healthy but hey, if your in the desert with nothing to drink and no cacters around. urine is the only source of water

I think it would be unhealthy to make a regular practice of it. In an emergency--out at sea with no fresh water to drink, certainly it would be better to drink one's own urine than not to drink anything. But save it for an emegency, OK?

former president of india and a very enlightened man drank a cup of his urine every morning. although i'm into yoga and such, i'm also aware that since the practice first began life has changed radically on this planet. urine has become quite toxic in this day and age. i don't recommend it.

I've heard urine can be "recycled" up to 3 times before it becomes toxic. You'd have to be mighty thirsty though.

well, your body flushed it out as waste for a reason. as a general rule urea and the other bodily wastes in urine are not good for you, but there is still water in urine, so if you get stuck in the desert it might be an option, but it would be my last resort.
