I think if your native language is English it is easy to learn two languages together at the same time especially if they are Latin based (Spanish & French). I have done it in the past. It helps if you are not too old. The younger a person is the easier it is to learn a language. But if you really want it it is never too late. Good luck

Yes, it can become difficult in this way. I took Spanish and German at the same time, and I mixed them up at times, using und in spanish class for "and" and using the spanish word "y" for and in german class. I made these mistakes much less when I was writing, but it was still frustrating when I would do this, especially if the times when I would randomly compile a sentence that mixed the languages so much it was no longer comprehensible unless you spoke both languages (this was rare, but when i was really tired i would alternate the language every word sometimes ^_^) It is still possible to do though, so good luck!

Well, I think maybe so but my close friend loves foriegn language and is very talented at learning them. She's currently taking Spanish, Latin, and French all at the same time and she says it's not that hard for her. Props to you if you want to do that!

I learned German and sign language at the same time. It did not throw me off because one language is oral and one involves hand movements, so I really had no problems at all.

I think if they are similar it will be difficult. But I am learning Arabic and Italian at the same time. No mix-up with pronunciation.
