My favorite recipe, which reminds me of my grandmother, is pretty simple. Heat milk in a saucepan with a handful of minimarshmallows. Add lots of Hershey's syrup (or store brand). The result will be a very foamy hot chocolate. Adding spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe even a dash of cayenne is good if you like it....

Special Hot Chocolate
INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 cups milk, scalded
2 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
PREPARATION:
In a blender, combine chocolate, sugar, vanilla and salt, with 1/2 cup of the milk. Blend until smooth, then add the rest of the milk. Serve immediately.

4 cups milk

I never knew hot chocolate ever contained alcohol.
Buy some milk, or chocolate milk if you want an extra-chocolately flavor.
Buy Swiss Miss or Quick or whatever cocoa powder you like. (Or syrup if that's your preference)
Microwave the milk to the preferred temperature and add either the syrup or powder.
Stir and add chocolate until it's to your liking. Marshmallows/whipped cream optional.

why are you putting alcohol in your hot chocolate? just go to the store and by chocolate mix and add hot milk then you could put in some wip cream.

"Fox's" chocolate flavored syrup, and warm milk, bang a tspn. of malt in there, It's been keeping kids warm for many cold damp winter's here on Long Island. It's "AWESOME" !
