Planning and shopping and preparing the meal together can be fun and romantic. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses in the kitchen. The trick is to discover these and balance each other. Support each other. Maybe your good with sauces and their not. Don't be afraid to explore and learn. Take your time and have fun. That's what cooking is all about.

Make dinner together or swtch off every other day. A choice for the both of you to make. Otherwise, there are different methods of switching off and if the two of you disagree, either cook for yourselves for a while or threaten a stand off in which neither of you can cook and must go out to eat until you come to a solution XD

Let her have her space! Imagine if you liked fixing cars and she enjoyed it too...she'd probably have to give in and leave the garage to you when you want time alone. Make days where you have the kitchen for yourself and cook a meal for the both of you. I'm honestly not keen on the cooking together thing....I know I've got my own ways of doing things and get sensitive when criticised so beware of sharing too much.

Share days of the week to cook. Say, cook every other day. Never cook together. That can get nasty... a little too competitive for my taste.

Take turns. Each prepares their specialty dish on a different day. You might also allow your mate to learn your special recipe techniques & vice versa. Make it fun, learn from each other.

We took turns. Sometimes we made the meal together -- very sexy. Other times we alternated, we both had things we wanted to make for each other and it was alsways a pleasure.

well for one thing, you both are very lucky!! you can take turns doing the prep work and/or the cooking and cleaning up. i hope you have many happy years together!!
