It made me so thankful that I have every day that I have been given to make a difference, but at the same time I felt awful that someone else's life had been cut short and not mine. It also impressed upon me the need to make peace with everyone daily, because I never know whether each day will be my last.

You see someone die you should know how fragile life is. So enjoy it while you can and don't put off doing the things you think are important. I believe in something more than this life so death is only a natural part of life. Still I see the need to make the most of the time I have.

It can make you appreciate life more. You can see how fleeting and fragile life is and how much that someone could have been taken for granted. It helps me to know that it isn't over, this is just a temporary pause. You will be reunited in heaven and faith in God can bring that about. The next time you see that person can not be separated by death. The time with them will be perfect and will last forever. Make the best you can of every day. Take care of yourself and do what you know to be in your (and your loved ones) best interest.

I watched a close friend die from cancer. I am thankful to have had the time given with her. She made a big difference in my life and was the sweetest person I knew. In the beginning I was angry that she of all people was being taken by this terrible disease. By the end of her time my anger was gone and I found a happiness to be blessed with every day given to me to share with my children and loved ones. Most people consider the value of their life by what they have cars, houses, money in the bank, etc. The true value comes from the people you fill your life with and what you do with each day given.

Sometimes, I also value my life when someone dies. However, we will also have to go sooner or later. But I think that we should live our life to the fullest by helping other people and leave good memories.
We will die later in our lives. But we must leave something good so people may forever reminisce such good memories that we have left behind.

I haven't seen someone die, so I don't know. I've seen someone within a day of their death I think.
