My maine coon kitten is docile and just an "angel kitten" and I'm wondering if the extroverted personality of the siamese might be overwhelming to him.

Siamese cats do not get along with other cats. They are very territorial and like there space. My husbands siamese ran my tabby off. If you want a cat to get along with your maine coon I say get another. Well good luck!

Siamese don't believe they are cats, they are very human orientated and can be very demanding. They can get on with other cats though - by ignoring them
If you want company for your Maine C**n, and you want one of the orientals I would suggest a Burmese or Tonkanese. They are much more easy going. Mind you the different colours can have different personalities.
But, to have a better chance of a playmate, a moggy kitten from the shelter has more chance of being a playmate.
You didn't say how old you MC is, but I presume he is still little. Why not another MC ?

Don't, trust me siamese are one person cats and don't like other cats or other pets, if you want a siamese only get a siamese because it will be mean to your maine coon

Why not go to your local animal rescue and get a kitten from there? There may be some Siamese but more importantly you will be able to see their personalities.

Please, if You love Your kitten DO NOT get a Siamese. They are very moody,passionately possessive of their territory and above all they hate other cats. Whilst I have never heard of one killing another cat I will however bet You London to a brick that it would make Your kitten's life a living hell, and would probably lead to it's running away. Trust Me on this, My Sister had one!!!

Don't get a Siamese, theyre mean and whiney.........I have Maine Coons and they love each other......But I have Bengals also and they get along great too!!!!!!!
