Would you please explain me why those contradictions :

II Samuel 10:18.
And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

Question: Was it men of Seven hundred chariots or seven thousand men?

I Chronicles 19:18.
But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men that fought in chariots and forty thousand footmen & killed Shophach the captain of the host.

Question: Was it Forty thousand footmen or forty thousand horsemen?? Was it Shobach or Shophach ??

It would be hard to say for sure unless maybe the Dead Sea Scrolls could clarify, being an older, unaltered document. If people believe that the Bible is infallable, obviously they would be wrong, but I wonder if this really makes any difference? Can we not still feel the spirit even though it is likely that some of the people that have had their hands on the Scriptures made errors when transcribing? I don't think anyone claims that the scribes were necessarily prophets do they? Do these errors distract from the larger message? Even the Mormon church, with it's Book of Mormon, would expound the virtues and necessity of the Bible, so I think I am missing your point.

what version is this? are these from 2 different versions? if so that would explain it. oh and the Bible does not contradict itself. KJV is the real version. but anyway it's 7,000 men who fought in the 700 chariots. 7,000 men were the ones in the 700 chariots. and it may have just been a spelling error when the printing company was making it. and it was 40,000 men on foot. horsemen could have a different meaning back then and really would equal footmen. footmen/horsemen meaning that they did not have wheels like the chariots did. stop trying to find faults in the Bible. it's the only book that's true. why try to make a fool of yourself?

Probably translation issues from the original languages to Greek and Latin over the years, as well as those that interpreted the passages.

There are many facts in the bible that science have proven true as well. It has been proven that this earth was once covered by water. They have found bones of fish on top of the tallest mountains. They also have found ancient anchors around the base of mount Ararat that dated back to the time of Noah.

Sweetheart, it's time to put the book away and go to bed. It's written by alot of different people so contradictions are normal.

seven hundred chariots
each chariot carry ten men
therefore seven thousand men who were on chariots died
