Every time I come on here I get very upset with the rudness of some people .The nerve of you people to say if you don't have money to take your dog to the vet ,then you don't deserve to have a pet.Have any of you people in your life time ever had financial problems? Well I know I have .You people are just plain rude.
To the op ,my dog Tigger has had this happen to her .She had a ear infection ,from the pawing of her ear and shaking her head she developed a hemotoma ,which can be very painful to a dog if not taken care of.If you don't have money for a vet see if there are other options to take care of this .Talk to your vet and see about payment plans ,or maybe doing work such as sweeping floors for your vet in turn for vetinary care.If your vet wont do this ,see if another vet will. Maybe try a low cost clinic ,the humane society . I know if you do the leg work you'll come up with some places to help you in your situation. Even try googling low cost clinics in your area. You'll have to be willing to do the work to find the help.Your dog can't stay like that for to long,it's very painful when you try to touch it.I know it was for Tigger. Good luck. If you need any more help feel free to email me.

Yeah, I know what that is. I see it all the time.
First, he has a yeast infection in his ear that made it itch. He itched himself so much and hard that he injured himself. The ear is either filled with blood, like a bruise, or pus from scratches that became infected.
Try this first: Get a warm (like a comfortable bath) wash cloth and wrap it around the infected ear. Sometimes the heat will draw out the infection and help healing. Do it as often as the dog will let you.
He really needs to be seen by a vet. The ear needs to be drained. It doesn't matter if it's filled with pus or blood, it has to come out. That means surgery. He's also going to need antibiotics.
Animal control and the SPCA can help you pay for the medical care. They can also tell you where to find low cost care and who will take payments.
Good luck to you, I hope everything turns out well for you and your dog.

Hi There! A puppy starts to raise its leg in accordance with phases of testestorone within the frame...the lifting is an try to location his urine bigger (at the tree) wherein it has much less danger of being blotted out through an extra puppy, offers an impact of measurement and is much more likely to be at 'nostril' peak for any one interested. Most puppies start this at approximately 6 months of age however tremendous puppies in most cases take longer. Castration earlier than the puppy lifts his leg with frequency can effect in an excellent longer wait...and plenty of won't soak up the dependancy in any respect. In regards to ears.....its faster if you do not play with them! The approach happens in accordance with strengthening cartilidge, the greater the ears the more potent the cartilidge demands to turn out to be earlier than they'll rise up strongly. My Shepherds ears had been up at round five months...it occurred in a single day - and the cat did not understand him, which used to be slightly of amusing!!! However they did crumple once more after which slowly received more potent and more potent. Obviously a few puppies can recieve harm to the cartilidge or genetic versions would possibly reason the ear to stay within the drooped function. You will pay attention of a few breeders that aid the ears to face through taping them...however that is dicy and most likely best to paintings if you already know what you're doing. Give the little fella time .... and benefit from the dog face at the same time you continue to have it!!!!

During the scratching your dog broke the blood vessels in his ear, which is now filling the flap of his ear with blood. He most likely has a yeast infection and needs his ear cleaned.
What he needs now is to go to the vet and get his ear drained. Which is, the vet will cut his ear and let the blood drain out, leaving the wound open when he sends the dog home so that it can continue leaking.
He should also prescribe drops for your dog's ears, which will be dropped in once or twice a day until the problem clears up.

Try to find a suitable home for your dog. If you don't have the money to take the dog to the vet, then you are failing your responsibility to that dog. Whenever you take on any animal you should be prepared to give it food, shelter and medical attention when it needs it. That's being responsible.
The dog could have mites in the ears. If so, you will need proper medication for that.

If you cannot afford routine vetrinary care, you should not own a pet. Please take your dog to the vet and surrender it for care.
It may have an infection, ear mites, who knows. I'm not a vet. If the ear is so swollen it's hanging down you've really got to ask fast!
TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE VET NOW! If you cannot afford care, the vet will care for your pet for you.
Pets are expensive, you should have thought about that before taking on the responsibility.
PS - while your'e at the vet, make sure you ask him to spay/neuter your pet so you don't wind up with puppies down the line.

It sounds like the dog has an infection in his ear. I am sorry, dear but you MUST take it to the vet. If you have no money, try the SPCA or Humane Society in your area.
Good luck.

Could be a hemotoma (sp?), my dog got one when she had an ear infection. By rubbing her ear/scratching her ear, she busted the blood vessles inside the ear. Taking her to a vet to have it lanced then drained will stop the ear from hardening and shrivelling up.

it might be infection of the ear.. the infection will lead to fever and discomfort. you have to bring him to the vet.. or go buy some
medication for it.. ensure that no water enters the ears when it bathe or in the rain...
if you have no money, maybe you try to seek help from dogs lover in your neighbourhood.. maybe they might be nice enough to bring your dogs to the doctor...if you can afford to go on the internet, you should be able to afford the bill..
