Ok gals... lemme have it! How big of a turnoff is acne? I have severe acne, which I can't find a cure for... Have been this way for a while, not even dermatologist can do much about it. Even with this problem (which I DO recognize as a problem) I have had a few VERY good looking ladies.. who stay with me until they cheat on me (lol). So, how bad is it?

im not turned off by acne. its just something you cannot help. whoever is turned off by it is shallow.....its not like your doign it to yourself. i have a bf of 2 years who is dealing with acne. i try to buy him stuff so he can try it out but nothing seems to work! i still love him though =)

yes it is a problem but you dont have contorl over it and you cannot fix it, you will only need to wait it out. at least you hav tried to get help. have you tried somethign called acutane? it worked for my boyfriends older brother and sister and they had severe acne too.

the right unshallow woman will come along someday! =)

Acne is a pain in the #%$. I got it when I was 12 until I was 17. Even though I am a girl it still did not help in the dating area. I have a suggestion for an acne treatment. The doctor gave me a prescription for Tetracycline and Vitamin A cream and in about a month it started to clear up. You can only take it for three months because it is hard on the system. I am not to sure if this is something that you have tried or not but if you haven't ask your doctor about it. You may also want to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin in the morning and evening as well. Exfoliate twice a week with a gentle exfoliant.

I hope this helps and good luck.;)

I think that a compatible personality can overrule a person who has acne. There are also other ways you could work to be physically attractive to women through exercize, hygene and stylish clothing. Also, you may want to ask your doctor about Acutane. Be sure you are getting enough rest, stay away from smoking, eat a healthy diet, try not to stress and limit alcohol. Although these may not eliminate your acne, atleast they will help. Good luck!

I dated a guy with severe acne because I liked him. I broke up with him for a reason having nothing to do with his acne.

I'm sorry you have this problem; it must be difficult for you. I have a friend who had severe acne when she was growing up. If something comes up that's special she goes to a dermatologist who gives her a shot in the pimple & it works for her.

My boyfriend has a bit of an acne problem. It is a turn off, but I'm more concerned with who he is and not his face. Someday, you'll find someone that will love the man beneath the acne!

Well acne is sort of a turnoff..But if you have a good personality then you should be good. Plus eye highly dout that there is not a cure for your acne. I have a solution wash your face with hot water and then rub alcohol on it so it will be clean. P.S Do it every night.

Well, I have acne myself so I guess I'm more understanding, but I don't think it's that bad. Like if I saw a guy that loked good besides his really bad acne, i would still be like damn he's hot even if he had acne. but it's kind of gross if your face is like pusing eveywhere. haha no i'm jk, it's fine

The point you made of 'VERY' good looks compared to a good heart or personality shows you probably have a shallow criteria when it comes to girlfriends....and birds of a feather flock together. You be judged how you judge.

Sorry, I find it to be a big turn off when just going by looks. I tend to date a guy for his personality more so than his looks though.
