Not until you posted the question here and I clicked on your link. This is a very sad situation. Some of the people on here had snide or down right mean things to say. I don't believe that this is fair. The fasion world, television, all sorts of media, and about every magazine out there are constantly bombarding us with images of these unrealistically thin women and telling everyone that if women, especially the young ones, don't look or act like these women they are worthless and ugly. Little girls get this input every day and it does take its toll on their self image and ego. Look at the most popular doll, Barbie. Look at our girls Hollywood role models. Mary Kate Olson, Nicole Richie, Calista Flockhart, ect. All of these woman (and most other actresses and models) are at least 20% below their lowest ideal body weight. All of your teenage girl magazines have articles in them about dieting and how to look fabulous (like a model). The guys who go around talking about how beautiful these toothpicks are are just adding fuel to the fire that the media has already started. Until people from all around the world unite and say this is enough and put restrictions on being underweight cases like this will continue to happen. All women and girls want to be thought of as beautiful and sexy, at least by our lovers, boyfriends and husbands. When we hear the guys that we love making coments about how beautiful one of these women are a certain percentage of us will go to drastic measures to please them. All women out there, please let this 22 year olds death be a reminder to you and your daughters about how unrealistic and unhealthy our fasion world has become and help show our daughter and sons what real women are suppose to look like. Subscribe to some of the plus size magazines and expose your children to them. This will give them a more realistic view of womens bodies.

Honestly I think it's BULL CRAP..and the agent that made her do it should be put out of business for GOOD. Because you know it was under pressure. At some point I'm sure she got hungry and wanted to eat..I was watching American Idol Rewind the other night and saw that SIMON told a (larger) contestant that she was not AMERICAN IDOL material. She took her ilimiation well but you could tell she was embarrased. I for one think she should have sued American Idol for Discrimiation. She'd won !!! and secondly RUBEN STUDDERD is not the smallest of his kind. I think the world today sucks everything is about being FAT and or SKINNY..what about just plain HEALTHY...I feel for the family of that Model and let this be a lesson to all of us who count calories for a living. I am a thick girl who is loved and loves..and I'm happy for being me!!

Wouldn't it take a lot longer than only 5 days to die of starvation alone?
If it is true, I think its disgusting, but that's the product of the world we live in and the extent of the effect it has on the female image. Truly sad and disturbing.

Well checked your link and there is no article there - so guess it was deleted as it was a load of horse shite in the first place.
It takes a lot longer than 5 days to starve yourself to death, so unless she was going without liquid (water)as well she would not have died due to lack of food!

yeah we were actually talking about this the other day in my health class. i wouldnt be surprised if they start putting weight limit on models. they're always looked upto, while they are really the most unhealthy people living on this earth.
