I have fixed on braces and i surf through the web and realise that by having rubber bands, it actually helps to move my teeth faster but my dentist did not give me any rubber bands to tight to my teeth? what should i do or is there any where i can get it?

Is there other ways to move it faster?

Depends on how long you have had braces on . They don't usually put them on right away. After several months then they put them on. ask your ortho.

Your orthodontist will probably use rubber bands towards the end of your treatment. They are meant to align the midline on your teeth. So between your front teeth on your top and bottom teeth will line up right. They don't help move your teeth any faster, and you shouldn't wear them unless your dentist tells you to.

Rubber bands are used to align your bite and not everyone needs to use rubber bands. Talk to your ortho, he might give you an idea of whether you will be needing them in the future.

The only reason you use rubber bands in ortho is because you're starting to have an "open bite" and the bands are used to close it. www.simplestepsdental.com explains everything in the dental clinic including ortho. Pretty awesome site.

Rubber bands kill extra suitable than the braces do for over each week. they seem to be a discomfort, yet you get used to them after awhile. i'm no longer able to tell you the way long you will would desire to placed on them (it is distinctive for each individual). stable success.

Rubberbands are usually used on problem areas. Not all teeth require that sort of manipulation.

rubber bands are for jaw problems, so if you don't have an overbite you don't need them...
