I HAVE USED HYDROPEROXIDE FOR A FEW YEARS AT A RATION OF 50-50 TO HELP WHITEN MY TEETH AND IT WORKS QUITE WELL. THE DENTIST SAID TO BE CAREFUL WITH BAKING SODA BECAUSE IT CAN REMOVE THE ENAMEL FROM YOUR TEETH IF USED TOO OFTEN AND BRUSHED TOO HARD. AS FOR THE PEROXIDE BE SURE TO USE PEROXIDE WHICH IS USED FOR ANTISEPTIC PURPOSES AND NOT FOR HAIR BLEACHING. SPARKY. OH YES, IF YOU USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE FULL STRENGTH I CAN BURN YOUR GUM TISSUE SO BE SURE TO DILUTE IT. SPARKY

I haven't got a clue but I read in a dental forum that the basic hydrogen peroxide first aid antiseptic is very bad for fillings and dental work. There are other peroxides out there yet I do not know where exactly. Sorry.

Peroxide is a bleach so yes it will work. It will also burn your gums and is quite poisonous if swallowed. Stick to a safer version from a retail "tooth whitener" and you're less likely to poison yourself. And then if you do poison yourself you can sue the manufacturer, get lots of money and pay a dentist $800 to whiten your teeth.

Peroxide will not hurt you... but your gums will turn white, too. I have even used Clorax Bleach and just swiched it in my mouth but you have to dilute it with water and be careful not to swallow it. The best thing I used was Alka-Seltzer... just crush it up in a spoon and put your wet toothbrush on it and brush your teeth. Will fizz in your mouth ... don't swallow it but just spit it out. These home remedies do work a little but to get really, really white teeth you need to get a perscription whitner from your dentist and have professional trays made. That works really well and lasts about 6 months.

Hydrogen Peroxide is used as a whitener in some toothpastes. It can be used as a mouthwash as long as it is not swallowed.

Peroxide works, but baking soda works too.
