Even if he has the power to impose a law to ban religion, it wont work. No one can do that. A few countries try it and they fail.

Elton is free to say what he wants, we are all free to tell intelligent things and stupid things. And we are all free to reject what we find stupid and what we do not want to happen, however intelligent it may sound in theory.

The homosexuals are free and they do declare their gay pride. Elton should not care about oppositions as far as these oppositions fail to take away their rights.

You don't have to be intelligent to play the piano. Just talented. That's the problem with Hollywood. The actors get a little money and all of a sudden, they know the way to solve the worlds problems. They get involved in politics and make idiots out of themselves. They should just stick to entertaining.

By the way-Hollywood types push for embryo stem cell research. We have been doing that research for 25 years. Roswell knows that only adult stem cells bring certain cancers into remission. Embryo stem cells have only been found to cause tumors in 8 out of 10 cases. A girl in my church was given adult stem cells from a donated woman in Austria. She has a kind of leukemia. She is now in remission and her blood type has changed from A- to O+. Is that a miracle or what?????

And your point seems pretty weak. It'd be like saying that it's Orwellian to ban the KKK just because of their opposition to black people. Or to ban murder just because it kills people.
Any reasonable person would realise that it is the role of the government to ban certain things to promote social cohesion and social progress. Apparently Elton John believes that religion is one of these things. It's great that you disagree with him, but why not look at his argument rather than just dismissing it?
