I think that there are relatively few criticisms for buddhism because it is such a relaxed religion...Buddhism is much less strict than Christianity or Islam, for example. The riles that believers must follow are less intense, and Buddhists really do not judge people of different faiths.

hi dude, i'm gonna point with ya. What style of Buddhism are you speaking approximately? Thereavada, Yagachara, Abhidarhma, Mudyamika, Chan, Rinzai Zen, Soto Zen, organic Land? *Breaths* All of those sects have distinctive philosophies according to those the Buddha positioned forward. whether we glance on the main difficulty-freed from Buddhist assumptions, the 4 noble truths, those form of distinctive sects shade them of their very own theory. Abhidarma believes the international is actual, no longer illusory, yet any merchandise it extremely is made up of things: all products shop atoms (the philosophical theory no longer the physics) have not have been given any meaning. Chan Buddhism, Rinzai and Soto Zen on the different hand believe the international is entirely illusory. That suggested. if one unearths the the human undertaking isn't one in each of suffering, then why be Buddhist, you disagree with the main difficulty-unfastened factor. additionally, a number of the sects require you to be a monk so as to be Buddhist and intensely few anybody is arranged to try this.

There are a few criticism on the basis of divisions of Buddhism is for love for all mankind and living beings, there is a major section of Buddhists who are meat eaters. (A small percentage who are against this view are vegetarilans)
2. Sanyasins culture does not bar from accepting rituals in favour of sanyasins. Ceremonies are performed in the buddhist homes with serveral offerings to the Bikshus.
3. Cases exist when sanysin's have wield weapons for killing for political causes.
Otherwise, the preachings of Buddhism are good for all mankind, though it says there is no creator. But buddha himself is revered as God by the followers, which goes against Buddhism. The main theme of Love and Universal brotherhood is really a thing to be appreciated of Buddhism.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Buddhism and
some even confuses it with Taoism. To me, buddhism
is more of a philosophy than a religion and there is nothing bad about true buddhism as in true christianity
as their teachings are good for the soul be it a christian
soul or a buddhist soul. Actually quite similar to Christians
teachings eg: Reap what you sow (Karma) & From dust
you come & to dust you shall return..etc. I believe that
no religion should be criticized as all religions are good
in nature only the way they are misinterpreted & misused
by human beings should be condemned.

Arguably, Buddhism is an atheist religion so it's pointless to view from the theist vs. atheist perspective. From the perspective of social utulity/disutulity I don't necessesarily by the arguement that all Buddhists are happy pacifists.

there are, of course those who do usually quote the Bible and the Koran. Using one religious text to criticize another religion is pretty much as ironic as it gets. Well except when your form of protesting violence is by blowing up houses. You'd think, why aren't the others chastising them for their erratic behaviour that defeats the cause of the implied religion in the first place. Oh right, cuz they get bombed too.

I don't have any criticisms of Buddhism because (a) it seems to be a very peaceful religion, (b) its followers don't seem to care if other people aren't Buddhist, and (c) from what I know of it, its teachings make sense to me.

LOL athiests don't know what itis besides for the jolly fat fellow.
No like other silent religions I think you won't get much critics. Christianity is on the sites of most attacks on here.
Now you could get some christians attcking it for not going or converting to Jesus. Same with india no one brought it there.
