I scanned in the script for a show i'm working on to edit it in Microsoft Word. It was really fast to edit at first, but now that I have all 117 pages in the document, it is super slow. It usually takes like 20 seconds for the computer to register after I do something as simple as highlight a world. Why is this? Is there anyway to stop it...I really need to be able to edit quickly!!!

It is no doubt slow because of the length of the document. I'm surprised you haven't run into a memory problem by now.
I would not have kept such a large file. Can't you break it up into several smaller files - like chapters in a book.
Been there. Done that.

it has too much imfo to deal with. even specks of dirt and marks on scanned in papers will have to be dealt with
