Mexican is not a race. My friend is Mexican, she is white hispanic. When she came to the USA she was shocked that she could be considered anything else than palin white. She found it humiliating to be considered anything other than white and said that Americans were racists for classifyng her as something other than white. I thought that it was rather racist to consider it humiliating to be considered anything other than white and I told her so.

that's an exceptionally solid question. i grew to become into continuously particular that Mexican and interior reach American have been 2 numerous issues. Then i found out that Mexicans was interior reach American. THEN i found out that the only actual distinction between what's now seen Mexican and what's now seen interior reach American is the country that conquered them. Why do people call Mexicans mestizos, and that they don't call Cherokee or Apaches mestizos? lots of them have interbred besides. the only solid rationalization I truthfully have ever heard for that's that Mexicans culturally have seperated themselves from their tribal background. even though, i comprehend lots of people who do not proceed to exist reservations who call themselves interior reach individuals. What a lot of people do not comprehend, is that the words Mexico and Mexican are actually not Spanish words. They originated from the Nahuatl observe Mexitl, that's navel of the moon. Mexican everybody isn't a mixture of Aztec and Spaniard, somewhat, present day-day Mexicans are indegenous individuals who would have some eu ancestors besides, when you consider that Spain grew to become into not the only eu united states of america to invade what's stated as "Latin u . s .." by some ability, this argument continuously seems to bring about unlawful immigration, that's little question certainly one of the actual reason that maximum individuals oppose the undeniable fact that Mexicans are interior reach individuals. they don't desire Mexicans being waiting to apply the "We have been right here first" argument. i'm a hundred% Mexican, i'm very pleased with my background as an indigenous race, and as a u . s . born citizen, or perhaps nevertheless i comprehend who grew to become into right here first, i don't think of Mexicans ought to pull that "We have been right here first" card to justify unlawful immigration. yet, thats a distinctive subject depend, and that i've got lots to declare approximately that. in any case, thank you for all people who took the time to verify this. so some distance, the people answering this question have been for the main area waaay greater expert than the different questions I truthfully have examine with comparable subjects. aside from the people who only hate Mexicans. -Mario Palma (that's my first positioned up, i'm hoping it wasn't too long or not something)

Mexican is not a race. And America is a continent. If you really wanted for some reason you would have to make "United States of Americans" a race. But then you would have to call it "United States of North Americans" because we are located on the continent known as North America. As Pope John used to say (God rest his soul) ""To call yourselves "American" and say that the rest of the people on both of the continents (North and South America) to not be "Americans" is wrong."" White People (with an opened mind) aren't evil. Just the limited neanderthal red necks are. Grow a brain RED NECKS! Give Humanity a change. Act like a human being.

Just because you are a minority doesn't mean you can't be a racist.
And for the record, there are only three races: *******, Mongoloid and Caucasoid.
Hispanics and Whites are Caucasoid, and this particular controversy between Mexican and American is about nationality and culture, not race.
I think the better term would be "bigot" - someone who is intolerant of lifestyles or beliefs other than their own. Anyone can be a bigot, regardless of race.

'Mexican' isn't a race, though. It's a nationality. More high-school dropout reasoning, there...look at a map sometime. Mexico, like the United States, is a country. Mexico shares a border with the United States. The Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo, signed in 1848, by Mexico and the United States, has provision for reinforcment and fortification of the border as needed.
Time to build that fence!

heck yeah they're racist. I don't think it's the immigrants living here though. it's the ones back in MX that watch tv. they think their cousins have it bad over here. i do believe the real mexicans are very thankful. It's also, the Mexican-americans, as they are called, that are all like. Viva mexico! I love my people! (meaning the immigrants) Which is funny cuz if you were born here and I was born here. then aren't I your people? not the real mexicans?
I work with immigrants all the time and they are very happy and probably wouldn't call me the least bit racist.

No, neither is a race.
But
No matter what a person says about another race, they are going to be accused of being racist.

You are either an American or not, skin color is no reason to be guilty of anything. And, illegal aliens do not deserve to be in America, regardless of what country they crept in from.
