I have bad habit of plucking my hairs especially when am tensed. want to leave this habit but enable, pls sugg

Pls suggest me want to leave this habbit i know am wrong but still enable to leave this habit . i tried many times but enable. when am tensed, free, thinking or watching T.V i used to pluck my hairs i know its a very strange habit but i have want to leave , pls suggest, eagrly waiting for your suggestion

I kind of went through the same as you. I always plucked my eyebrows for no reason and eventually needed to use eyeliner in place of it. All I can say of what I did is start to focus on a new activity. It was when I was young, so what I did was study more. Get your mind on something else. Read a book, play video games, maybe try to do activities when you are using your hands so you can't pull them. Good Luck. Hope you pull through. :-)

there's actually a disorder called trichotillomania that you're kind of describing. it's when a person constantly plucks their hair, for no apparent reason, and is worsened when the person is stressed. i actually saw a discovery health show on it, and it seems to be a very common yet poorly recognized disease. It's a type of anxiety disorder. Look it up on the internet and you can find some interesting articles explaining it more. Then you can see if it's something that describes you.

habits can be hard to break but the key to breaking habits is by replacing habits. if you have a habit with your hands you need to find something else to do in replace of it.smokers often chose gum to replace thier habit. when you find yourself doing this stop and do something else instead everytime.
