I want to remove the main programming (millenium edition) and re-program with new (maybe XP). I've been having too may freezes and other issues with this one. I have another computer that I'm working with but the one with problems has a CD burner and this one does not.

You can buy Windows XP and do an upgrade from within Windows ME. Start the ME machine normally and insert the new Windows XP disc. Windows will take it from there.

By the way, you may want to check Windows website to make sure that your hardware is compatible with Windows XP (make sure you have at least 256MB RAM and I recommend at least 600MHz CPU)...

Good idea with going with Windows xp, windows me was a pretty bad operating system. What i reccamend is to reformat it. Heres a idea, you should wait for acuple more months intill the next windows comes out (windows vista) www.windowsvista.com or you can go to your local electronic store, and buy some reformatting software, usally with the software comes a nice instruction guide just in case. Then you will be ready to install a fresh copy of Windows xp.

there should have been a restore cd that came with your computer the best thing to do is back up all the files you want then restore the computer with the disk that came with it or buy an upgrade disk install it and put your files back
