I want to buy my wifey a pink KitchenAid mixer for her Birthday. However, there are a few of them out there, as well as dozens of attachments. She cooks and bakes a lot. I just want to know which model I should get and which attachments would be most useful for her. Thanks!

I know I've wanted the Grain Mill.
Instead of buying those special ingredients, I can make Oat Flour (From Rolled Oats) or Rice Flour (From Rice) or Powdered Sugar (From Granulated Sugar and grits) on a moments notice... No more running to the store to get that fancy one time use ingredient...

But what does your Wife like to make?..

The Ice Cream maker would be great if you both enjoy frozen custards and sorbets...

The Pasta maker would be fun if you like fresh pastas from time to time.

The Food Grinder could be a lot of fun for making Jams and Jellies and Sausages and Sauces... I would have to give my generic vote to the food grinder... Definately the food Grinder for the general usage... Definately...

At the moment, I have seen tv ads for the KitchenAid. I'm sorry that I bought mine a year ago now because they are offering such a great special!
A free attachment of either pasta maker or ice cream maker..plus some utensils. Wow! I have the Artisan model. I would have loved either pasta or ice cream. Depends on what you think she would use the most of. For me, in actuality, probably the pasta maker. Useful year round. I'm happy with my machine, would definitely recommend it.
What a guy you are! Lucky, lucky wife.

The 6 quart is very nice. If she bakes a lot, I would go for getting an extra mixing bowl and make sure you get the splatter shield thing to go on top of the bowl.
The other attachments really would depend on the specific use, like the meat grinder, etc. If she would never gring meat or do the other things with those other attachments, there really would be no point.
But with the extra bowl, she could chill one down for whipping cream while using the other for batter, etc.

I would buy her the biggest capacity mixer, plus an extra bowl.

I would also buy the meat grinder/sausage stuffer attachment, just in case she felt like making her hubby fresh ground burgers, or sausages to serve during football games.

and if she doesn't feel like it, you can use that pink power tool to git r dun yourself.

they're not too hard to use!
