Our military is in about 30 other countries and is at the limit of there manpower so if the U.S.A. was to get invaded it would be us citizens that would have to defend our homeland. Do you think we are up to the task?

If I understand the core of your question, you are specifically asking if the average U.S. citizen would take up arms to defend and protect our country.
Thinking back to the initial wave of unity in this country immediately following 9/11, I would say, yes, we as a nation do have the patriotic drive within us to band together and fight.
It is my firm belief that no matter how politically polarized we might be at the moment, we still all share and feel a common bond to this country. In the event of a serious crisis, I believe we would all set our political differences aside and rise to the occasion.
I'll admit that at times I look at everything that's going on and think, wow, our Founding Fathers must be rolling in their graves; sometimes it seems to me like we've strayed off their intended course. But then you come along and ask your question, and I think, yeah, we've still got what it takes to make those wise old guys proud of us.
In any event ... I'm locked and loaded.
Thanks for the good question.

Number one this country still has a large army left here in the states. At the present time there
is no country that would have the force to invade the United States But I will guarantee you if we were ever invaded the American Citizen would fight to the dying end we don't give up anything without a fight and we won't quit because this is our country and they would be on our soil.

Quote: "Why are individuals so brainwashed and in no way bypass away their u . s .?" "Why is it once you component out each thing undesirable with regards to the u . s . a . you're advised to get out" i'm at a loss for words right here. What you think of will make the rustic extra useful in all probability won't. occasion: an astounding sort of rabid socialists/communists who believe in sharing the wealth have certainly no thought how the actual international works and bases their incorrect ideology on emotions and emotions. There are 2 aspects to each argument. The worst you are able to nonetheless do is seem at each thing one sided and refuse to appreciate the different component before choosing a place to take. in case you certainly stay interior the u . s . a ., you're taking many things with no attention that somebody else residing else the place would discover impossible previous their wildest goals. only something to think of approximately.

I believe Russia was supposed to have done a study on the feasability of invading the US during the cold war. The study found that the number of guns held by the civilian population would make it nearly impossible to defeat the civilian population in a straight shootout.
If you live in the country, then you would definitely understand. Guns are everywhere.

No one will invade It wouldn't work for many reasons here's 2:
One nuclear missle at the invaders capital and they would be barbeque chips game over
It would take an enormous amount of troops, ships, fighter aircraft
tanks and lots and lots of helicopters with Norad watching it's hard to imagine them missing a very large naval fleet like that coming
this way.

Read your second amendmant. If you own a weapn, you are bound by the constitution to defend your country. The second does not state that you can own any weapon you can afford just for the fun of it, if you own it, your country expects you to use it. By not defending your country makes you guilty of treason and you can still be hanged, if convicted.
Read the constitution. There are a lot of answers to these questions. If you are good American, you should already know that.

hell no if the people are all like the ones I have seen so many times on y,a, they would give up with out firing a shot , same as Mexico did in Calif, during the Mexican American war , I am referring to the political correct ones who would be afraid of hurting the invaders feelings, some of these old boys and girls would be a honor to fight beside,

I believe I read that troops stationed anywhere in the world could be back in the US in 2 days. It'd take a hell of a lot longer to take control of the US.

well, if it's true that only the national guard can defend, i sadly don't believe we would be able to defend ourselves too greatly. not because the national guard is bad or anything, but because they are small.
but i think if we were attacked the army would respond wuickly, illegal or not. so i think yes, we are able to defend ourselves.

with how many people have guns in this country and how many troops and guard and reserve we could call at once. We would take a black eye but we would ultimately be alright
