I believe you were looking for the phrase, "Got an attitude..." Just for next time.
I think it's not that your parents believe him over you. It's that they are trying to help you live in an adult world. It is not fair, but it is true, that adults decide what is respectful and what is not. Although your parents may believe that you were not meaning to be disrespectful, the fact that an adult thought you were was important. They want to help you learn what adults expect, so that you can grow into a respectful adult.
When you get older, this will make more sense. But just think- you don't act like kids who are a year or two younger than you do, because you've outgrown that behavior. You parents are just trying to help you see how you can continue to grow into better behavior.
Hope that helps...

Suck it up. This WON'T be the first time you will be falsely accused of something in life, TRUST ME. However, as long as you aren't going to be beheaded, suffer the punishment and go on. AND NEXT TIME, if you are accused of something, make sure that your behavior is normally so good, that your parents AND bus driver will say, "Surely, she did not have an attitude, that is just not whatever your name is normal behavior".

First, a bus driver is not necessarily a teacher. Secondly, the teacher does not generally have 'an ax to grind'...nothing to gain from a lie.

Because they are stupid - OR you never gave them a reason to believe you. Trust goes two ways. If you want them to trust you you have to give them reason to trust you. Real life gives your parents enough stuff to deal with, and the last thing they want is problems related to you.

Because most children will lie to their parents and because most adults won't make up a lie to get a kid in trouble.
