First you guys need to know some things about this girl... she is my ex for one. We broke up in late Aug. and have decided that its not a break up... but rather a break apart. Well we tried to get back together a couple of times and we both felt it was too soon. (BTW, she considers Dating, being in a relationship)
With that in mind, we pretty much started dating... so, if thats the case... Why is she telling people that we are still broken up? Maybe I'm reading into this too much, but we were together for 2 years so I know her pretty well. If dating is so serious for her, should I confront her about it? I just don't know what to do...
Please help!!!

yes, you should confront her about it. i can't answer the question, as to why she is still telling people ya'll are still broken up. only she can answer that. it's time to confront her about, and get the truth. you deserve that much. it's all about talking. if you have some girl friends who know her, ask them what they think about your situation. they'll probably be able to help more than anyone else, since they know her.

It means she's faced reality, and it sounds like you haven't. Breaking apart, taking a break, whatever... it's all B.S. They're all euphemisms for "We're breaking up, but I'm gonna put it this way to string you along, just in case nothing else works out."
You're NOT a couple. Therefore, you have broken up. Simple as that.

Thie is what is happenning here - you are the Backup Guy, the guy she will go with if she can't find anyone else. She is looking to get with somebody else, so she tells everybody that she's single, and as soon as she finds another guy, you will be history. She's just keeping you around in case she can't find somebody else, and she "doesn't want to hurt your feelings" (even though leading you on like this is even worse).
Ask her about that. If she doesn't say that you are even dating, then get rid of her before she gets rid of you. It doesn't sound like she loves you, she is just using you until Prince Charming comes along. She's cold.
