Is there really any chance of waiting out a commitment phobe? She really does love me, I can see it in her eyes when she tells me, but as close as we seem to get, she shies back away just as far. Anyone else ever been through this? I love her free spirit and all, but what the hell? I need to know she's in it a little. (Dating for about 6 mos, she's gotten distant last 3 or so)

i can understand why she feels that way, too many women have been hurt by men and they aren't willing to get involved and give themselves to them and then be left. give her a little time, let her know you're committed and not just in it to get what you want.

If you love her, then wait..
Some girls don't like being too close to someone, maybe she's been hurt before or knows people who have been and it's planted doubt in her mind. Not wanting to fully committ herself doesn't mean she wont stick around though, so don't worry too much. Convince her you wont hurt her and she might just come around :)
