Since yesterday my boyfriend has had this pressure or sharp pain at his temples, he takes ibuprofen and it slacks off but it doesn't go away. This morning he had a bad nose bleed. And every time he gets the pressure or sharp pain he says that he feels really hot like he's burning up. And that he's been a little dizzy. He says that the dizziness comes and goes. Have you ever heard of this or experienced something like this? Do you know what this is?

Thanks for your answers. And please no "go to the doctor" answers he's going to go to one.

well then good.. he could be suffering from hypertension that's getting bad....

sinus issues or an infection to the sinuses... or there's some bleeding going on which really should be checked into.

if he's lucky it's an infection which can be easily corrected through rest and medication.

if not he's having ministrokes... and needs to have his blood pressure and triglycerides and cholesterol checked...

OR there's trama due to pressure caused by something which OF course a doctor will check for.

they'll xray him and hopefully (his insurance? he has that right?) they'll give him a cat scan.

Im no dr.but it sounds like sinuses.I had to take my daughter to the dr because she was real dizzy and was getting really, real, bad bloody noses and she had a sinus infection he gave her an antibiotic and a nasal spray. He said there was only 3 reasons for bloody noses either sinuses ,dryness in the house or a injury to the nose at one time like getting hit or something like that.

It really does sound like hypertension, or high blood pressure. He should see a doctor ASAP. He could have a stroke as his nose is bleeding trying to naturally release some of the pressure that is building up.

well just be careful on how many ibuprofen he takes cause you can o/d on them.Or cause long term damage. Try excdrin it's for headaches I would try a sinus pill over the counter, darken the room and a warm wash cloth on his head and have him lay in bed with his feet higher then his head for nose bleeds. also webmd.com you can type in all the symptoms and they give you some help till you get to the doctor.. I hope he feels better and it is just temporary............ Tricia it could just be a bad sinus infection..

High blood pressure. He needs to go to the doctor ! A nose bleed is a sign that his blood pressure is high enough to cause a stroke. It can lead the permanent brain damage. Call your emergency room now!

Check behind his ears immedialy, if there is bruising go to the hospital. Go to the hospital if he looses consiouness or gets raccon eyes or if he recently hit his head as you are describing brain trauma. These symptoms can be caused by a severe sinus infection.

It does sound like his blood pressure is elevated. It needs to be checked as soon as possible.
