You could do 5000 situps in a day and not get the results you want.

Research has come out that if you want to tone up, do cardio. Try pilates. Run.

well it really depends on your body type( bigger or thinner) if you are a pretty hefty person that dosnt work out then you should start with a smaller number of situps like 10 15 and do them every day then go up 5 every week or if you are feeling like you want to push your self go up 5 a day.

If your the thinner body type you should start out at a higher number like25 and go up 5 to 10 a week or a day witch ever you choose. I hope this helpes you.

just doing situps aint going to do it, no matter how many u do, u gotta do more excercises to get a total body workout to get abs, such as push ups, situps, weights, chin ups, side raisers etc etc, and its take time, u cant get abs in a day even if u do 200 most likely its gonna give no abs but a sore back and stomach cause you are only working out on one section of your body, go to your local gym and ask someone there how they work out their abs and will see theres bit more to it than sit ups

something like running or biking is very necessary, a sport such as soccer, tennis, squash or rugby is very good too... if you do slow half situps, do about 30 3 times a day, that'll work ok too.. I gave it up a while ago, because I didn't need to have good abs.. Now that I'm going back to play rugby and rowing, its important to get them back.. Set your motivation first..
