Not all, just some or a few!
Who knows.
It's how they interpret things or get their jollies!

Just a few years ago I was not a Christian but today I am, I think that the reason Christian people and organizations seem to be hateful towards others is because they themselves have forgotten where they come from. They forget the fact that they too make mistakes therefore putting themselves on a pedestal.
The Christian population needs to remember the "love" factor. Its easy to speak it but hard to live it. Its harder to live love because once you stand up and claim to be a Christian people then expect more from you then before. Why? Because you now say that you have Jesus in your heart and you now automatically become this new and changed person.
Life is a process, it takes time to become who you become whether a Christian or not. After being a Christian for many years people also begin to expect everyone to be like them and that too is not true. People are who they are; although God has a plan for each one of us He gives us the freedom of choice. The choices we make during the course of our lives determine the consequences we face in the future.
Blessings & Hope this helps,
Kevin

Not all religious people and/or religious organizations are hateful, just the insecure religious people and the religious organizations run by insecure people.

That depends on the type of relgious people- i know it may seem like a lot of them are mean. I think the best way to get the full picture is to have an open mind. There are many different types of relgions and members belonging to it; if you keep your mind open to everything you may find some good people.

Sounds like you're exhibiting a bit of hatefulness yourself -- toward religous people i mean.
I notice that you didn't say SOME religous people are "hateful" You said that THEY ARE -- which means that you think we ALL are.
When a person paints all members of a group with the same brush -- as you are doing with religous people -- that's a classic example of intolerance and hatefulness.
So keep that pot-and-kettle rule in mind next time you're tempted to employ such double-standard rhetoric.

It depends on what you mean by hateful.
Most religous people I know are very kind, and most faith based organizations are doing their best.
If they preach the bible, and someone doesn't like it, it doesn't mean they are hateful at all. Issues such as homosexuality is very clear in the bible...doesn't mean they are hateful.

Well, when pple dont want to be corrected they tend to think its their way or the highway!! If you dont want to be corrected or be told when you err then stay away. There may be a reason why God will put you on their paths. Maybe you just need a good piece of humble pie!!!

Tell me something, when you were a child and your parents pointed out to you something that you did wrong, did it not feel like it was hateful ? When a teacher points out to you that you are wrong in your answer, did it not feel like she hates you.
In many situations another will point out the fault of another, not to cast blame, not because of hate, but because they love that person and desire that person to change their wrongful ways, but in pointing this out to them, they feel like it is hateful.
For example, i teach many homosexuals that if they do not cease from their activities of having sexual relationships with the same sex, that they will not enter into Heaven according to Scriptures, i do not say this because i hate them, or want to fight with them, i say this, because i genuinly believe that if they do not cease they will not go to Heaven, therefore because i love them, and desire them to go to Heaven with me, i inform them of this, however 9 times out of ten, they come back at me as preaching hate, this is merely an excuse to not believe what i am teaching, you see if it is HATE, then they do not have to listen to it, therefore it is easier to accuse me of hating then to think what i am saying is True, so that they would have to cease..
So religious people and organizations might not be hateful at all, but they are only deemed as that, because those who think such things are unwilling to change whatever it is they are trying to teach them.

I understand why it can seem that way. Some people brag about their religion and act as if they are superior to others as a result of belonging to their choice of religion. It's difficult to listen to someone say that they are "one of the chosen few who are saved"....while they are treating others with insults and condescending remarks.
Some of us refuse to be treated disrespectfully. Your question is a relevant question.

Societies are like the organisations they harbour. But not all of them are the same.
