Unfortunately life is nothing but choices, yes, some are horrible but "rather" means pick one!
Soldiers die in vain in every war, the idea of war, as Patton put it, " is to let the other sucker die for his country"
If what, is changed by war, does not remain so, it will be but a fleeting moment, compared to how long those that died, will, forever be dead and need be remembered!

Hard choices. I think Saddam Hussein should suffer the fate that a jury of his peers determines. I think the soldiers should come home, but wait, these are simplistic solutions to a complex situation.
First of all I think that the idea of establishing a democracy in that country is absurd. They have had almost a century of hard line dictators or military style government that did not give them any freedoms. They are not ready for the laxness of a democracy. Most want to be told what to do and when to do it. The separation of church and state will never happen there because of the importance they place on the Mullahs. The US needs to withdraw and let them figure out where they are headed. The ensuing chaos could cause massive blood shed, and probably the creation of three countries of Shia, Sunni, and Kurds who would immediately align themselves with like minded neighbors of Syria, Turkey, and Iran. So the end result would be to give Persia to each of these three countries.

Soldiers home. Why not truly give Iraq back to Iraq. Oil and all. Your just throwing good money after bad now. Saddam was an evil brute to his own people, as are many none oil county dictators, but on the international level Saddam always obeyed the U.S. When U.S. said he could invade Kuwait, how was the poor SOB supposed to tell his side of story, up against propaganda organization the world has ever known?

Reconstruction of Iraq by those who demolished the very structure of it ,in the name of the war on terror and a search and destroy mission for WMDS.Moral responsibilities cannot be ignored.President Bush should have thought about it,now this problem has made the whole of the armed forces of America give it a second thought.Reconstruction first, homecomings second,Saddam will face the consequences.

Bring em Home NOW. Congress approved the removal of Saddam by force. Congress has never declared war on Iraq, they also have never approved the occupation of Iraq.

That's a horrible choice to give. Saddam must receive justice or our fallen soldiers have died in vain.

I would be able to live with Saddam rotting in prison if it meant that our troops would come home. If anyone says otherwise, they're essentially saying that they're putting the life of Saddam Hussein before the lives of our troops.
