Religious people, what do you believe, if you're told one thing in church... (please read on)?

...but you see a different thing in real life?

For example, if you're told that atheists can't tell good from evil, but you see many actual atheists who can.

Or if you're told that sexually active single people are immoral, but you see so many of them are good people in their everyday actions.

Who do you believe? Your religious leader or your eyes?

Oh great question.

I am just told those who do not accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour aren't friends of God.

Everyone sins, sadly sometimes even Christians it doesn't mean everything they do is evil/bad or anything else...

What Christian's have told you those things??

Well if this is who your religious leader is get rid of him, first of all it sounds like he could actually be judging for everybody which is not cool it will wind up going into a colt {been there} atheists are just like any other human being the only thing that seperates an athiest and a religious person would be there religious back ground thats it my husband is a free belief he has his own beliefs but he still thinks he is known as an athiest cause every church will tell him that. but he sees good from evil and as far as sexually active people being immoral thats not true there just like you and i the only thing that seperates them from us is they may like sex more. It sounds like your religious believer doesnt want you to be around athiest nor does he want you to be around any one sexual thats kinda blah if you ask me you need to go by what your faith tells you to and your eyes and thats it your faith will lead you closer to your GOD {cause i dont know what religion you are} and your eyes will let you see the difference thats what they are there for. Living through being sexually promiscuous, but being an essentially "good" person- I know without any doubts, that a religious leader can only spell the facts as they are interpreted. However an immoral/bad/sexually active/confused/good but not perfect person is every single human on this earth.....and I was one of them- then I experienced the love of Christ when he removed my VD/STD, gave me a wonderful husband, and enabled me to bear a child that 4 doctors told me i would never concieve......A miracle that God gave me- and so I believe what my Bible (New International Version) tells me. Not a religious leader for they are but men and are prone to mistakes, and not my eyes, for they are prejudiced by the sin of this earth and the friendships we make. Everyday actions mean little without the love and savior of Jesus Christ.

Since it is immoral to be sexually active and single, and the only way to tell good from evil is truly through the Holy Spirit. I believe the Church.

You can try and puzzle this out in your brain, but hey, is your brain and perception the center of the universe? I would opt for a third alt. How about humble yourself and ask God what He means in His word about good, immorality,etc. For instance, even in the beginning, there were two trees to choose from. God said they could eat freely fr the tree of life, but to leave the other alone(tree of the knowledge of good and evil) that life tree is Gods life, and if we "eat" freely from that, He will teach us.
Question: so who gets to decide what is good and evil? If we bow before the living forever loving Father and ask Him for wisdom, He gives it. There are a lot of really kind people and that's true. People can be really lovely, no denying that. God is drawing each and every one of us to receive His love and truth, so some people would come to Him and really understand what He is like and why Jesus had to die. It is brilliant.!

In the book of acts, it says that the believers in Berea were of a nobler spirit than other believers because they didn't take Paul at his word. They searched the scriptures every day to see if what he said was true.

That is the level of rational and intelligence I seek. I never take anything "on faith".

Especially if i observe something in life that contradicts the doctrines of men. I look into the scripture to see if the teachers are wrong. They usually are.

trust in the word of god, your eyes can decieve u , just like satan can, the lords word will never lead u wrong, what u see with your eyes may not be what is behind closed doors, it's better to let god be the judge and not u ,we don't always know the truth , but god does, ask your religious leader to show u the truth in the bible , ask him to show u the scriptures that says the answer u r looking for , he will be glad to help u, god bless u and good luck

i'm sure atheists can tell good from evil ,as in bad from good...but that's not the same as them being able to tell god's love from something that's not god's love.

and just because someone's a good person, doesn't mean they have good morals all the time.

and i take my orders from God himself, despite what religious leaders tell me because even religious leaders can be corrupt.

It is rather very common for those people seems to be religious but they are acting in the other way round. Your conscience will tell you not to be hypocrite as they are. They are just pretending to be good to cover up their sins from being realized so that their next victim will take no precautions against them. It is clearly understood that those who had created sin , will remain as a sinner unless he had repented sincerely towards the God.

Make up ur own mind. No one will believe exactly the same as the next person. I chose to find my own way because thing i heard and witnessed were completely different, and I didn't always believed what they told me.
