think it is obvious that an invasion is going on. And the Government who's primary reason for existing is to protect us from said invasion is not doing it's job. I cannot blame Mexicans for coming here or being loyal to their Country. Against the will of the people, the US Government has allowed 12 to 20 million illegals to come through our borders and stay here.
Now, the American people have really screwed themselves by voting out the one branch of Government who was actually trying to stem the tyde. The republican controlled Congress. This was the one group that stood between middle class America and Amnesty for illegal aliens. Now the Dems and Pres. Bush are about to ram their amnesty program down our throats, this will change foreever the demographics of America as 60 million more illegals rush accross our borders and it will be all over for American Democracy as we know it.
Indeed, I think few Americans understand the real significance of what the waving of the Mexican flag really means. It is but a harbinger of what's to come, the beginning of the end for the last best hope on Earth.

They don't, but since our legislators have been too weak-kneed to take issue with the entire situation(GOP types, at that! Who'da thunk it? LOL), they've been able to successfuly exploit the status quo to their economic and political benefit, and get their poltical temper tantrum televised.
It has backfired, though. Now that more americans are fully aware of the depth and breadth of the problem, more cities and states are reconsidering their previously generous positions on tolerating things like illegal immigration, and taking a Good Hard Look at their books. The border fence bill got signed into law,
'amnesty cities' are being called into question, and some folks are kinda choked that this whole mess has been allowed to progress like this for so long without public officials really calling attention to it effectively. Here all along we thought they were 'minding the store' turns OUT they were minding their and their buddies' bank accounts! LOL
The border states definitely have their work cut out for them...20 years' worth of negligence can't be made up in a week, and Mexico's screaming bloody murder about the laws finally being enforced. I say let em scream, they can compete with all the citizens who realize they've been being systematically ripped off all these years to feed Mexico...

Hispanic immigrants have attracted negative attention for a number of reasons. First, there are so many of them. The flow of illegal immigrants through mexico is a flood. The second, and to me more puzzling, is the refusal of the hispanics to embrace American culture. We are a nation of immigrants. Previous waves of immigrants worked hard to become "American" in word and deed. They learned the language and embraced our culture. They recognized the unique opportunities that America offers and were happy to become part of it.
The hispanic immigrants of the last 30 years have resisted the call to become American. The recent rise of hispanic groups embracing the "Reconquista" and "Aztlan" movements are evidence of this. The vast majority of hispanic immigrants are here illegally. I think this may be the root of the problem. Their first action upon reaching America is to break the laws of the country they wish to make their home. It is not surprising that they disdain the customs and culture they find here. It appears to me that these illegals have no love for America. To them we are just an opportunity to be taken advantage of. We have social programs they can take advantage of, our economy creates paying jobs they can fill and the standard of living in America for even the "underpriviliged" is greater than anything they could expect in their home countries. They come here to take advantage of the rights and benefits that were bought and paid for by our forefathers. They have little fear of any reprisal from our government and now feel so entitled that they openly march in our streets calling us racists and haters when we call for our government to enforce existing laws.

I support LEGAL immigration as long as you learn english when you come here. Or at least try. And i do hate that the illegal immegrants need to wave their home country's flag all over the place. You came to america to be an american. not to turn us into Mexico or Puerto Rico. I dont get it.

I do agree about the flag waving thing. I want them to assimilate to our country if they have plans on spending the rest of their lives here.
I think in general many are thankful to the opportunities they have experiences and the benefits received. I worked as a case manager and one of my clients was so thankful. she said her government would let her lay in the street and die. She loved the US.
I'm tired however of people saying we treat them so bad that is why they don't assimilate and real americans saying "they're my people." If you were born here then I am your people along with everyone else that was born here. Stop sticking by them. your are making it an us and them affair. we need to work as one and THAT IS WHY THEY NEED TO PUT THEIR FLAG AWAY. Stay here and support our country or go home if you love yours so much.

The "Life Boat" America is full to capasity and in grave danger of sinking. Until this country has had a chance to gain it's strength back and "START TAKING CARE OF IT'S OWN PEOPLE", I feel strongly that all forms of immigration should be put on hold.

It is very important to maintain the easy access through the U.S. / Mexico border to keep the flow of drugs at it's current level. The Mexican governments support of the illegals is for multiple reasons as is the support the illegals receive from the north of the border. !) Billions of U.S. Dollars are sent back to Mexico by workers and through drug deals. 2) U.S. employers are able to obtain labor at or below minimium wage and not be required to pay for benefits required by the U.S. government for legal employees. 3) Many including government and politicians on both sides of the border make money indirectly through drug trafficing. 4) Many undesirables are removed from Mexico (It is estimated that approximately 20% of the illegals coming in from Mexico are criminals)

Generally some migrants wave their own flags in the US not just mexicans. If they can work 3 jobs why can't you do the same. Move on, let them be I guess they're tax payer too.

Because they dont come here because they hate their country, they come here because of what the Mexican Govt has allowed to happen to them in that country. I do not agree with those that wave the Mexican flag while holding ours upside down or talking s**t about the US, but there are those who embrace the US culture and still want to hold on to their own roots, in other words want to wave both flags. Who are we to say they cannot in that case?! Why should they have to forget where they came from simply because it offends you?
