My hair is somewhat thick, but it's not really frizzy. It's straight, but has some waves in it. What is the best type of conditioner I should use to prevent future frizz or to keep my hair healthy?

Use a deep conditioner regularly and be sure to change shampoos every two or three bottles or so.

I use a mayonaise treatment once every two weeks. I buy the mayo made from olive oil. It's more expensive but olive is so good for you skin and hair. I have thick, wavy hair.

Clairol- Daily Renewal
got2b- Instantly Gratified Instant Conditioner
Pantene- Daily Moisture

For a little more money
Alterna- Hemp seed deep conditioner
Aveda- Shampure Conditioner

You didn't say if it was chemically altered? If you color it or anything like that, use something made for it. Otherwise use a good daily moisturizer. A regular detangler will be too light. Try to avoid store bought brands. They use the same wax Grocery Stores put on an apple to make it shiney. It's food grade, edible, and liquid...It's how they get away with calling it "natural". I'd suggest Bed Head Moisture Maniac or if it's color treated I'd use Bed Head Fashionista, or Oatmeal and Honey.

Good Luck!

Don't listen to these "so called pros" and listen to me. My mother is a professional and certified hairdresser and stylist. Use a Bumble and bumble prouduct that matches your hair and go buy them at a Bumble and bumble salon at the searches.

I surprised myself when I tried this, but it really works. Herbal Essence hydrating conditioner. Smells amazing (orchid and coconut) and is pretty cheap.
