Kir Royale's are a nice holiday drink. Fill a champagne flute about an eighth of the way up with a Cassis or black currant liqueur and top off with Champagne.

Take a wheel of brie and slice it in half horizontally, spread your favorite array of dried fruit and nuts in the center and wrap in puff pastry and bake. Go to pepperidgefarm.com or google baked brie for a recipe. It is so easy, elegant and delicious!

You could also serve a tawny Port and Roquefort or other blue vein cheese.

Try these for starters:

Buy frozen meatballs at Walmart/Sams and put them in the crockpot with 2 bottles Heinz chili sauce and one cup grape jelly. Serve with toothpicks.

Mix cream cheese with a little mayo and add garlic powder and finely chopped green onion tops. Spread on flour tortillas, roll, chill and slice into pinwheels. Use thinly sliced roast beef and spread same mixture. Cut into pinwheels.

Spray cooking spray on both sides of flour tortillas. Season with season salt, garlic powder and paprika or chili powder....any or all of these and cut into skinny pie shaped wedges. Bake @ 350 on cookie sheet until crisp. Serve with your favorite salsa.
