I think it's interesting how the majority of the 'disagrees' are disagreeing with something that wasn't even stated. All this concerns is people of little faith. It says nothing about people of much faith.
I could see how this makes sense. If you're not really committed to anything, that may say something about strongly you feel things. If you're not capable of feeling strongly either way, you can't really feel hatred.
Oh, and I like your new hairdo ^_^

I understand where your coming from but I must say when a person becomes spiritual and does soul searching they are seeking out answers of meaning of self and world. I think most people form a deeper connection that brings a new found respect to self and others. When you soul search or become spiritual you look at yourself in a new light including all your negative manners. When you see this and attempt to fix you learn respect for your bad things and why you have done them. Some people may develop a high horse like they found god and screw all else but those unfortanates are the ones you and I hear speaking the loudest.
Amen heh

I always thought I had little faith, but I hate quite a few groups and individuals; so now I have more faith than I thought?
I doubt I have a large enough faith to hate so many.
I am really not a good person.

Disagree, people with real faith are filled with peace and love.
But the most hateful people do tend to be religious hypocrites.
Many people hide behind religion to shield their true motives. My Holy Book says that they are the worse of creatures. Yes, there are many hypocrites in religion, by there are some who believe and adhere to the laws of God and truly love other and like to give
there time and money to the needy.

Actually faith in God has taught me to love. It's my human nature that gets in the way of me loving others.
So, I have to disagree with Mr. Hoffer

Not necessarily. I'm of no faith, but I do have hatred. I'd say those of little sensitivity are of little hatred. Hatred may not be religious. I am hating now a guy from my town, who raped his 5-year-old stepdaughter. I've no idea what religion he is. But he's a s.o.b. and I cannot but really hate him. He doesn't deserve anything else.

I disagree, those with little faith holds a lot of hostility and resentment and a ton of hatred bound up inside their heads and hearts.

I don't think faith equals hatred, hatred comes from somewhere outside the heart. And faith, in whatever shape or form it takes, comes from within the heart.

I disagree.
I know plenty of people with no faith...that have less hatred than believers.
People of faith should be full of love, but many are not.

I agree. I do think you can find examples of people of strong faith who are peaceful and loving. But look around, and you'll see a lot more theists who are bigoted and downright hateful.
