"hell" is a mistranslation. it always means the "grave", biblically anyway. there is a lake of fire referred to. In it, evil people will be destroyed, not eternally tormented.

heaven is a temporary dwelling until such time as God sets up paradise on earth, as recorded in the book of revelations. we will live together in paradise with Jesus and God will dwell among us.

To make it short, yes I do.

Although I'm Catholic, which might influence my decision a little, I think I would still believe in a Heaven and Hell. If I didn't believe in what the Catholic Church teaches, I would still have to believe there is a God, and of course, a devil.

It's human nature to believe there is a God. Everyone has to believe in God, although they might not say they do.

For all those who say there isn't, all I have to say, is....
You can't tell me that you believe that the WHOLE universe was created by "chance." If this doesn't sound stupid enough (sorry, but it does) that's like beliving that a tornado could blow through a junk yard and "put together" the most powerful super-computer ever thought up.

Now, I want to say that I think if you're reading this far. Just look at the Catholic Church. I don't know if I could if I wasn't born into it. It sounds really "religious" or "strict" but really, it's just teaching us natural law.

I'm not a perfect Catholic, and boy are there many "not perfect" Catholics. (Including some priests) But I think Catholicisim is so cool. Everyone (most everyone) respects the Pope (highest authority in the Church) and so much reverence for God.

I'm not good at talking about what I believe and the only way you'll get a feeling for the Catholic Church is to visit a Church. (Preferably a "cool" one) ;)

I know I sound stupid talking about stuff I don't know but I'm just trying to let everyone know how interesting Catholicism is.

Based on study, experiences, the experiences of people I know, and rational thought, I would say this: Heaven and Hell are states of reality that one experiences after death, which are produced by one's own thoughts, emotions, and actions, that one had during physical life. They are not permanent conditions, but are part of the learning process for progressing spiritually. When one has learned what is necessary for enlightenment on that level of consciousness, one advances to a higher level, or reincarnates back into the physical world to have additional experiences.

Off course there is. These are the two rewarding place for those who done good or evil. Believing in hell and heaven is part of faith in God.

Science will eventually prove the existence of spirit. As spirit is just a word
that means "invisible to the naked eye, or without material form".
There are all kinds of "spiritual", (invisible and without material form), things.
Magnetic fields, radio waves, the suns rays, sound waves, untravoilet and
infrared light. Light itself is a combination of 6 invisible colors. We only see when it
shines trorugh a prism or water vapor, creating the rainbow.
Science knows there are magnetic impulses that affect things in our physical
dimension that could only be caused by magnetic forces from other dimensional
realities.

I spent most of my life in hell. Now I'm working my way toward heaven.

Yes; for the Lord has given us specific examples in the book of Revelation as to where believers and unbelievers will go...then there is the sheep and the goats analogy. Christ died for us so that we do not have to spend eternity hell- it only takes our acceptance of the gift of love to bring us to His side.
